Meditation with Gentle Movement Session led by Paul Blissett

MEDITATION WITH GENTLE MOVEMENT SESSION - ONLINE VIA ZOOM ON 3rd MAY 2024

Session will be led by Paul Blissett

Until March 2020 Paul was teaching 9 face-to-face yoga classes a week but with the Covid-19 pandemic switched to 5 online classes using Zoom in April 2020. Paul undertook a course on Teaching Yoga Online run by the Institute of Yoga Sports Science to fast track his online teaching skills. Since July 2020 he has been able to restart his two face to face yoga classes at Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre in Leighton Buzzard which fortuitously had had brand new air conditioning installed during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Paul holds the Yoga for Health Foundation General Training Scheme and Remedial Training Scheme certificates. He has studied with teachers from many different yoga traditions and these diverse influences colour his own teaching. Although he teaches predominantly mixed ability yoga classes, he has also taught yoga to adults with learning difficulties and also classes with an emphasis on mental health and well-being.

Paul was a Trustee of the Yoga for Health and Education Trust (YHET) from 16th February 2008 to 10th November 2017, being responsible for the YHET website and continues to be a YHET member.

Paul taught yoga for Adult Learning for over 11 years but from Autumn 2014 has been teaching predominantly private classes. He undertakes Continuing Professional Development each year to maintain and develop his own knowledge, skills and teaching. In November 2016 he gained accreditation to teach yoga in prison on completing the Prison Phoenix Trust Teaching Yoga in Prison Course. As well as teaching yoga Paul is also a professional hedgelayer with over a mile of hedge to lay this coming season. Twenty years in the IT industry at the end of the 20th Century has permitted him the luxury of developing both his current jobs out of his hobbies.
