SPECIAL FOCUS WORKSHOP ON THE PRANAS - ONLINE VIA ZOOM ON 16th JANUARY 2021
Sessions will be led by Fiona Agombar and Sarah Ryan
Fiona Agombar is a yoga therapist in the Krishnamacharya Tradition and is accredited as an advanced yoga teacher by the British Wheel of Yoga. She originally trained as a teacher with the Yoga for Health Foundation in 2001. She has studied under TKV Desikachar and his son Dr Kausthub Desikachar.She specialises in teaching yoga for all fatigue conditions, including CFS/ME, exhaustion from stress and post-Covid19 fatigue. Fiona is the author of the book and DVD Beat Fatigue with Yoga (Cherry Red Books) and the new book Yoga Therapy for Stress, Burnout and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (Singing Dragon). Fiona set up the original Yoga for Stress and ME training courses with Yoga Campus and has also run many IST days for the BWY focusing on stress, fatigue and burnout. She studies regularly with her teachers Adyashanti and Kausthub.
Sarah Ryan has loved, studied and practised yoga for 50 years. She has been a teacher and teacher trainer for both the British Wheel and, having been appointed by TKV Desikachar in 2006, the Krishnamacharya Yoga and Healing Foundation. She is a Yoga Therapist and also teaches Vedic chanting. She continues her studies with her mentor, Kausthub Desikachar, and his mother, Menaka Desikachar.
We invite you to join us online via Zoom for a Special Focus Workshop from 1.30PM to 3.15PM and 3.45PM to 5.30PM. There will be a 30 minute break between the sessions. In this workshop the topics covered will be The 5 Pranas - Prana and the Breath - Granthis(restrictions) and the Prana Maya - Prana and the relationship to Purusha and Prakriti - The Chakras, Nadis and Prana
This event is offered to all members of the Yoga for Health and Education Trust (YHET) and the cost of this event will be borne by the Trust. For further information please email firstname.lastname@example.org. It will qualify as CPD for teachers and a certificate is available on request.
Places on this event are limited and Registration closes on 14th January. Please note that if you are new to YHET you may be required to complete an additional online Health Questionnaire prior to attending the event. This is required for insurance purposes.
You will require Zoom set up on your PC, tablet or mobile device prior to the session. Full details on how to set this up will be sent to attendees prior to the event. Mobile phones are not suitable for these online sessions as the screen is too small.
